Yeah yeah, I know it's late but better late than never, right?
Faking Normal by Courtney C. Stephens.
5/5
The very first book I read in 2015 was also one of my new favorite books of all time. This book hit me in the feels 100 different ways. I bought this in the bargain section at Books-A-Million, not thinking that this book would change the way I looked at sexual abuse.
Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder
4/5
I own the first 10 books in this series and since I'm participating in Project TBR that Benjamin of Tomes is running, I figured now would be a good time to start the series, I'm not huge on childrens books but I've also watched all of the episodes to the TV show so that made me like it a little more.
The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
4/5
Ok so, THIS BOOK. It was freaking awesome. I first started it in November right after it came out, got 100 pages in, and then put it back down because I guess I just wasn't in the mood for it. But after some pushing from a few friends, I picked it back up and boy, am I glad that I did. It definitely wasn't my favorite in the series, heck it was probably my least favorite but it was still so so great.
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
4/5
I received this book for Christmas because in the middle of January, I was attending a signing for this book. That was the main reason I read this book now too. I really didn't think I would like this as much as I did. I'm really not one for space books. I've tried to read a few before and I never got through them so I was prepared for the worst when I picked this up but I was pleasantly surprised and I ended up loving it.
This Night So Dark by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
5/5
This is the novella that takes place right after These Broken Stars and the only thing I have to say for this is HOLY FEELS.
Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
3/5
I was a little on the fence about this when I finished it. I liked it but I didn't like it and the main character annoyed me SO MUCH. Like, there were times that I hated her because of how naive and childish she was. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with this series or not yet.
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
4/5
This book started out really really slowly but I knew that it was supposed to get better the further I got. That was true, but I was still really confused almost the whole way through the book. Any way, I definitely plan on continuing with this series.
The Walking Dead Vol. 01: Days Gone Bye by Robert Kirkman
4/5
I just read this while I was stuck in Barnes & Noble for a few hours. I'd been wanting to read this for a while and it was pretty good. I'm a little meh about it right now.
Be With Me by J. Lynn
4/5
I love this new adult series SO MUCH. Jennifer L Armentrout is literally a queen. She's definitely one of my favorites. I've never not loved a book that she's wrote and I don't plan on ever starting that. I feel like I liked this one so much more than Wait For You because I liked the love interest a lot more. But this cover is just no.
Ms. Marvel Vol 01: No Normal by G. Willow Wilson
4/5
I feel like the hype around this graphic novel is a little bit much. I enjoyed it, I really did, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. That's really all I have to say about that.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
4/5
This was the first reread of 2015 for me! Ahh this book. I have a love/hate relationship with this series. I really like everything about the world, I enjoy all the political levels of it, I enjoy all of the goriness. But then we come to Celaena. That girl gets on my nerves so much and I don't see how everyone loves her. I enjoy her a lot more in this one than Crown of Midnight (we'll get to that later).
A Kiss In Time by Alex Flinn
3/5
This book started of so promising but after the halfway point, I was just a little annoyed. I definitely enjoyed Beastly more than this one. Talia just really annoyed me sometimes with her childishness
Slammed by Colleen Hoover
4/5
One of my goals this year is to read all of Colleen Hoover's books so that's the challenge that this goes towards. I've already read Hopeless a few years ago and if I'm remembering correctly, I like Hopeless more than this one but I still really enjoyed this. This book was just a little ridiculous but so good.
Losing It by Cora Carmack
3/5
I really really wanted to like this more than I did but I had several problems with it. First, the instalove. GOOD GOLLY THE INSTALOVE. Second, the characters annoyed me. The other two books in this series follow other characters in Losing It and I don't plan on finishing them because I just did not care about them.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas
3.5/5
I didn't know that a main character who is supposed to be so awesome and kickbutt could annoy me so freaking much. I read this a little over a year ago and when I first read it, I absolutely loved it and now that I've reread it, I wonder how sound my judgement was back then. Celaena is so bratty and childish and petty and makes me want to stab myself in the eye. The only reason that I'm continuing with this series is because of all of the other characters.
So that was my January wrap up! My favorite book this month was by far Faking Normal. What was your favorite book you read this month?

4) Every Colleen Hoover book released
I've only read Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and I bought Slammed and Point of Retreat yesterday. I am so so so excited to read all of her books because I loved Hopeless so much but I read it right when it came out so it's been years since I've read a CH book.

JLA is one of my lit queens. I've read seven of her books and I can't wait to start this series(plus read A LOT more of her books.
2) Furies of Calderon series by Jim Butcher
I wanted to start this series in 2014 but I never got around to it so I'm definitely going to start this one.
1) Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
Don't get me started on this one. All the hype and the pressure from my friend has got me really excited to read this so I will be reading this very soon.

T5W: Most Anticipated 2015 releases
Hi, all! I’m here with my (late) top five Wednesday! This
week’s topic is your top five most anticipated releases. I’m rebelling a little
and I have six, but in reality I have around 15 that I’m looking forward to so
narrowing it down was a bit difficult.
6) The Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo out on October 6th.
I read the Grisha trilogy last summer and LOVED it (the
darkling had a big part in that). The only thing I know about this is that it’s
set in the grisha-verse so that’s enough for me!
5) The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead out on February 10th.
This is the sixth and final book in the Bloodlines series.
*cries* I’m going to be ugly sobbing when I get my hands on this one and finish
it. I’ve been with this series since the first books was released and knowing
that I won’t have any more Sydrian after this books makes me want to cry.
4) The Heir by Kiera Cass out on May 5th.
This is the fourth book in the selection series? Or a spin
off? I’m not very sure but I do know that I will be going out on May 5th
and devouring this book in one sitting. I have a tradition with Kiera Cass
books that go along the lines of 1) sit down, 2) open book,3) read book, and 4)
don’t move until you have finished said book.
3) A Book of Spirits and Thieves by Morgan Rhodes out on
June 23rd.
Ugh, it was so hard picking between these last three for the
number one spot! ABoSaT is the first book in a spin off trilogy following the
Falling Kingdoms series. People say that Falling Kingdoms is a YA Game of
Thrones and I could not agree more! I was lucky enough to get an ARC of
Gathering Darkness from Morgan herself at YALLfest so I have grabby hands for
another MR book.
2) A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas May 5th.
ACoTaR is a new fantasy series by SJM that circles around
Beauty and the Beast and faerie lore (!!!!). I’ve been anticipating this book
for months and I’ve been trying like crazy to get an ARC, but I’ve had no luck
:(
1) Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare and the release date has
not been announced yet.
Cassandra Clare’s books are crack and you don’t need any
more of an explanation so just go read them ALL.

2015 Reading Goals
Hey all! My name is Elizabeth, I'm 17, and I love to read.
I'm new to the blog-verse so I thought I'd start off with my 2015 bookish goals
that I'm going to try and hit.
1) Read 75
books.
My goal for 2014 had been to read 125 books and I surpassed
that by reading 139 but for 2015, I decided to lower it to 75. I found myself
stressing out about hitting 125 books last year and I didn't want for my goal
to feel like a job that I HAD to complete. Also, I'm starting college college
next month so I feel like that is going to take up a lot of my time as well.
2) Read all of
Rick Riordan’s books.
*sigh* I made this same goal for
myself in 2014 and I did not complete it. I only ended up reading the first
three books of the Hero's of Olympus series but I am definitely going to
complete this goal this year (hopefully).
3) Finish the
Harry Potter series.
Once again, I made this goal for myself in 2014 but did not
complete it. I know what you're thinking, who HASN'T read all of the Harry
Potter books? The answer would be me (my mom wouldn't let me read them when I
was younger).
4) Read 2
classics
I'm not that big on classics, but I really want to read a
couple this year. I only read 2 in 2014, one of which I hated (The Hobbit) and
one which I loved (Jane Eyre).
5) Read 10 adult
books.
Pretty much the only thing I read is young adult but I
occasionally partake in the adult genre. I don't read enough of them though so
I'm hoping to change that in 2015!
6) Get tbr down
to 100 books
My tbr sits around 200 right now and that's a little crazy
so I've made it a priority to make a big dent into it.
7) Finish 12
series.
I have about 10 unread series on my shelf where I only have
one book left in the series/trilogy so I feel like I might finish this
challenge with flying colors!
